ØRSKOG

Province : Møre og Romsdal

Official blazon

På hermelin grunn ein gull pæl.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on November 11, 1983.

The arms show a pale as a symbol for the forestry. In the 17th century the municipality exported many tall trees to Holland, where they were used for ship-building. The ermine is canting for the many animals in the forests.
