French | D'or, à tête de harpon à cinq pointes dressées d'azur. Devise: Rester droit |
English | Or, the head of a five-pronged fish spear erect, azure. Motto: Rester droit |
Origin/meaning
The gold field is from the field in the arms of New Brunswick, through which province the Restigouche River flows. The five-points of the Fish Spear is a reference to the five tributaries of the River. It also alludes to Anti-Submarine role of the Ship. The Motto translates as "Steer a straight course".
