History: First formed in 1944 at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton (HMS Heron), Somerset with Fairey Fireflies for service in HMS Impacable in the Pacific on Anti-Shipping Strikes. The Squadron disbanded in 1945.

The Badge was apporved on 6 July 1944.
