Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 18, 1962.
The arms show the lion taken from the arms of the Counts of the Rhein (Wild- or Rheingrafschaft), to which the village historically belonged. The lower half is canting, showing a wide valley (Breit=wide, Thal=valley).
