De gueules la représentation d'un atome, le noyau d'or, accompagné de quatre électrons d'argent sur leurs orbites de sable; au chef d'azur chargé d'un écusson de sable, surchargé de trois besants d'argent, accosté de deux fleurs de lis d'or, soutenu d'une divise ondée d'argent.

Origin/meaning

The atom refers to the Saclay nuclear research centre. The chief with the two fleur-de-lys and silver division line, refers to the ponds established in the village by King Louis XIV.The small shield shows the arms of the Saint-Germain Abbey, to which the village historically belonged.
