PLÖN (PLÖ)

State : Schleswig-Holstein

Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on November 22, 1948.

The arms showin the middle the nettle-leaf of Holstein, as the district is in the former Duchy of Holstein. The many forests and the importance of agriculture are symbolised by the leaf and ear. The lower part symbolises the many lakes as well as the Baltic Sea coast.
