D'azur à trois pots à deux anses garnis de fleurs, le tout d'argent; au chef cousu de gueules chargé de trois fleurs de lis d'or.

Origin/meaning

The design of the Dourdan arms reminds that this town had traditionally an important activity of making potteries during the medieval period. This has been confirmed during the last decades by archaeological discoveries of large pottery workshops in the subsoil of the centre of town.
