Origin/meaning :
The arms were officially granted on July 24, 1962.

The wooden raft and the waves indicate the former tree-rafts that were used to transport wood on the Brandenberger Ache. The colours are those of the Aschau family, who founded the messing factory Aschenrain.

Literature : Köfler and Beimrohr, 1995
