ŚLĄSK (Województwo śląskie)

Slask.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 11, 2001.

The arms are based on the arms of Upper Silezia and the Duchy of Opole and Racibórz. The province formed, together with the current Opole province, the Upper Silezia region. See also the armsof Opole (province).

Śląsk Province (1919-1945)

These arms are very similar and are also based on the arms of Upper Silezia (but with a silver patch).
