Shield: Azure, an elliptical globe Celeste gridlined Buff fimbriated of the like, overall a sword and key saltirewise Sable fimbriated Buff in base dancetté of the last.
Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Michigan Army National Guard: From a wreath Or (Buff) and Celeste (Light Blue) a griffin segreant Or.
Motto: Support sustain the battle.

Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A gold color metal end enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consiting of a shield blazoned: Azure, an elliptical globe Celeste gridlined Buff overall a sword and key saltirewise Sable a base dancetté of the third. Attached above the shield a Black scroll inscribed "SUSTAIN" in gold. Attached around the bottom and sides of the shield a black scroll inscribed "SUPPORT THE BATTLE" in gold.

Origin/meaning

Buff and light blue are the colours of Quartermaster Units. The indented base alludes to the Lower Peninsula and hilly belat of Michigan, home of the Battalion. The Globe symbolise the Battalion worldwide support to the Troops. The Key and Sword represents the Battlion's mission of supply and service.
