The Provincial Arms of [[Södermanland]] with Armour insignia. Formd in 1627 as an Infantry Regiment Converted to Armour in 1942 as The Södermanland Armoured Regiment then with number 3.

During 1957-1963 it was transfered back to the Infantry albeit as Armoured Infantry. In 1963 finaly transfered to the Armoured Troops, this time with number 10 as it has been during the Infantry Days. So there has not been any 8th or 9th Armoured Regiments in the Swedish Army.
