Origin/meaning

Greeen and Yellow are the colours of the Military Police. The Gothic arch symbolises the Ardennes-Alsace, Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns during World War II. Red and green refer to the French Croix de Guerre for action along the Moselle River, represented by the wavy beam. The Fleur-de-lis symbolises the Normandy and Northern France Campaigns. The Black disc and the Red and Yellow colours of the Artillery, symbolises the former designation as Artillery.

The Coat of Arms was approved on 10 May 2006.
