History: The 1st Mechanized Division was created in 2000 as a replacement for all other Divisions that had been disbanded. It in turn was disbanded in 2004.
Official blazon
I blått fält ett lejon av guld med röd beväring, hållande i framtassarna en kolonn av silver. Skölden lagd över två korslagda kommandostavar av guld.
Origin/meaning
The State Archives did present a modell drawing of the Arms to the Division on 4 april 2002.
