Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in diameter consisting of four brick red arrowjeads conjoined at center with their points on the secondary positions of the compass and centered upon a white quatrefoil its four lobes positioned between the points of the arrowheads, all enclosed by a blue annulet inscribed with the words "MAINTAIN, RECOVER, REPAIR".

Origin/meaning

Brick Red and Golden Yellow are the Colours associated with the Transportation Branch. The quatrefoil lobes simulating white wheels, symbolize the basic mission of transporation. The border and blue background allude to Service in Africa, Italy, France and Germany during World War II. The Arrowhead denote participation in four amphibious landings.

The Coat of Arms was approved on 26 February 2008. The Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 4 April 1980.
