Official blazon

Shield: Per pale Or and Azure a chevron counterchanged, in base a cotton boll Proper; on a canton Vert an acorn of the first (the insignia of the 87th Division).
Crest: That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve: From a wreath of the colors, Or and Azure, the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The statue of the Minute Man, Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor) stands on the common in Lexington. Massachusetts.
Motto: SEMPER ET UBIQUE FIDELIS (Always and Everywhere Faithful).

Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall, consisting of a shield blazoned: Per pale Or and Azure a chevron counterchanged, in base a cotton boll Proper; on a canton Vert an acorn of the first (the insignia of the 87th Division). The shield surmounts the upper portion of a circular Blue scroll inscribed "SEMPER ET UBIQUE FIDELIS" in Gold letters arcing to base.

Origin/meaning

Blue is a color traditionally associated with Infantry, the original branch of the organization. The chevron is representative of service in the American Expeditionary Forces. The cotton boll alludes to Alabama, the state to which the Regiment was originally allocated. The canton is the shoulder sleeve insignia of the 87th Division.

The Coat of arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was originally approved for the 346th Infantry Regiment on 21 January 1925. they was redesignated with symbolism revised for the 346th Regiment on 6 April 1993.
