3RD FORCE SUPPORT SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted as 3 Food Service Squadron, Bombardment, Light, on 10 August 1948. Activated on 18 August 1948. Redesignated as 3 Food Service Squadron on 1 March 1950. Inactivated on 25 October 1957. Consolidated (10 October 1984) with the 3 Services Squadron, which was constituted, activated, and organized, on 8 December 1965. Inactivated on 30 November 1976. Activated on 30 April 1983. Redesignated as: 3 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Squadron on 1 July 1992; 3 Services Squadron on 1 January 1994; 3 Force Support Squadron on 1 October 2009.
