Redesignated as: 42 Civil Engineering Squadron on 1 July 1960; 42 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 March 1994. Inactivated on 30 June 1994. Activated on 1 October 1994. Inactivated on 30 September 2002. Activated on 10 January 2011.
