Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 17( inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Gules (Brick Red) on a pale Or a TRAC tread and a tire track palewise Sable and issuant from sinister base bendwise overall a wing of the first fimbriated of the second. Attached below the shield a Gold scroll inscribed "PRET DISPOSE CAPABLE" in Black.

Origin/meaning

The colours are those of the Transportation Corps, the original allocation of the Unit. The track and truck tread are representative of the various modes of mobility that were employed by the parent unit. The Wing denotes fleetness.

The Coat of Arms and distinctive Unit Insignia was both approved on 29 November 1962 for the 538th Transportation Battalion. They was redesignated for the 38th supply and Transport Battalion on 24 July 1963 and for the 38th Support Battalion on 20 November 1992. They was redesignated effective 1 September 2008, for the 519th Support Battalion.
