88TH CIVIL ENGINEER SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted as 88 Installations Squadron, Depot on 16 May 1949. Activated in the Reserve on 27 Jun 1949. Ordered to Active Service on 1 May 1951. Inactivated on 16 May 1951. Activated in the Reserve on 20 Nov 1952. Redesignated as 88 Installations Squadron (Depot) on 12 Nov 1954. Inactivated on 8 Oct 1956. Disbanded on 15 Jun 1983. Reconstituted, and consolidated (16 Sep 1994) with the 2750 Civil Engineering Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 1 Jan 1973. Redesignated as: 645 Civil Engineering Squadron on 1 Oct 1992; 645 Civil Engineering Operations Squadron on 1 Oct 1993; 645 Civil Engineer Operations Squadron on 1 Mar 1994; 88 Civil Engineer Squadron on 1 Oct 1994. Inactivated on 31 Dec 2000. Activated on 1 Oct 2014.
