Crest: From a wreath Argent and Buff the Roman Coliseum Proper, overall between two laurel branches Vert a lion rampant Gules grasping in dexter claws a Roman Spatha bend-sinisterwise Proper.
Motto: La soutien de la vie (Staff of life).
Distinctive Unit Insignia, Description: A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Per bend Argent and Buff, on the first an ear of wheat and a spit, point in chief, Azure. Attached below the shield a Silver scroll inscribed "LA SOUTIEN DE LA VIE" in Black letters.
Origin/meaning
Buff is the colour of the Quartermaster Corps. The Spit and Ear of Wheat alludes to the origin as the 94th Quartermaster Battlion (Bakery). The Coliseum of Rome alludes to hte World War II service in Italy. The Lion holding the Sword represents strength, honour and courage. It is red to commemorate the Meritourious Unit Commendation awarde for Vietnam. The Laurel branches alludes to the two Vietnam Campaign Streamers awarded to the Battalion.
The Coat of Arms was originally approved for the 94th Quartermaster Battalion on 28 April 1942. It was rescinded on 30 June 1975. The Coat of Arms was reinstated and redesignated for the 94 Support Battalion on 7 October 2004. It was amended to include a Crest on 19 April 2006. The Distinctive Unit Insignia. was originally approved for th 94th Quartermaster Battalionon 19 October 1962. It was redesignated for the 94th Supply and Service Battalion on 23 August 1966. The Insignia was redesignated for the 94th Support Battalion with the description and symbolism updated on 7 October 2004.
