Origin/meaning
Buff is the colour of Quartermaster Corps. The base alludes to the reactivation in a triangular Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Red doubblewarde Key alludes to the two Meritourious Unit Commendations awarded the Battalion for the European Theater during World War II and for the Vietnam War. It further alludes to the Quartermaster Service in World War II and Supply and Transport Service in Vietnam. The Arrow symbolises the Landing in Algeria-French Morocco (Operation Torch 1942). The Lion is from the arms of the Belgian City of Dinant it is placed on a embattled roundel indicating the Defence lines during the German Ardennes Offensive Winter 1944/45. For its action the Battalion was awarded the Belgian Fourragere. The Bamboo Shelter symbolises service in Vietnam.
