Coat of arms (crest) of the Air Command, Royal Canadian Air Force

Official blazon

Azure, an eagle rising to sinister from a Canadian astral Crown / Azure un aigle essorant du côté senestre d'un couronne astrale canadienne.

Origin/meaning

The azure represents the sea or sky and the eage rising from the astral Crown denotes the air element becoming an entity in the form of a Command. The Motto translates "Such is the pathway to the stars".

Air Command was created in 1975 to command all flying units. In 2011 the historical title Royal Canadian Air Force was restored. The Air Command Badge was in 2013 replaced by a new Badge for the RCAF.
