Origin/meaning

The Wild Rose, floral emblem of the province of Alberta, is placed over two traditional Athapascan copper knives, honouring this native linguistic group and the great river and region of Northwestern Canada, which share various spellings of this name. Granted January 15, 1994. Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
