Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: Gold and black are the school colors. The arms are a stylistic suggestion of the markings of a yellow jacket, which is the school’s mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: The yellow jacket, which is the school mascot, displays two of the school’s colors: black and gold.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 23October 1995.
