Escudo de Bellvei

Official blazon

Escut caironat quarterat en sautor: 1r. i 4t. d'argent; 2n. i 3r. de gules; ressaltant sobre el tot una torre d'or tancada de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 27, 1990.

The arms show the tower of Tedbert, dating from the 11th century, that was at the origin of the village. The quarterly in saltire silver and gules are the arms of the Bellvei family, the lords of that tower.
