Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1996.
The cross is the symbol of St. Andrew, the local patron saint. The strawberries and the corn cob are symbols for the agricultural character of the parish. The base symbolises the Douro river and the Atlantic Ocean.
