Escudo de Creixell/Arms (crest) of Creixell
Official blazon
Catalan Escut caironat: de porpra, una creu de Borgonya de gules sobremuntada d'una corona reial d'or. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on 7th July 1987.

The arms show a cross of Burgundy and a royal crown; the former municipal seals used to have two crossed arrows instead of the cross, but they had however the crown. The castle of Creixell (11th century) belonged to the bishops of Barcelona, and later to the monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres; in 1767 it passed to the Crown, that sold it to Salvador de Marc, a landlord from Reus.
