DEGUČIAI

County : Klaipėda
Municipality : Šilutė

Arms (crest) of Degučiai (Šilutė)
Official blazon
Lithuanian blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted granted on May 15, 1792 and again on November 30, 2006.

The arms should refer to the richness of the local nature. The text of charter calls the animal a “moose”, but in the picture it is obviously a deer. In 2006 it was decided to keep the deer as the town's arms.
