EICHKÖGL

State : Steiermark
District : Südoststeiermark (until 2015 Feldbach)

Wappen von Eichkögl

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 26, 1995.

The arms attempt to represent the name of the municipality, taken from a ridge of the same name, the Eichkogel (mountain of oaks). The "-kögl" is a dialect form meaning a diminutive. The stars were taken from the arms of a local family in the 14th century.
