Devise: CHRISTUS DEI VIRTUS ET DEI SAPIENTIA. Kreuzstab pfahlweise hinter dem Schild, darüber grüner Hut mit zwei liegenden und 12 hängenden Quasten.

Origin/meaning

The first and fourth quarters are based on the arms of the Diocese of Augsburg, and typically used by the auxiliary bishops of the diocese. The second quarter shows four flames, for the four Evangelists and the Holy Spirit. The colour blue is the symbol for St. Mary. The third quarter symbolises the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
