Escudo de prata, dois ramos de carvalho de verde, landados de ouro, alinhados em faixa; em chefe, leão alado, aleopardado, de vermelho, nimbado de ouro e apoiando com a garra direita um livro aberto de ouro, guarnecido de vermelho; em campanha, asna solta de negro. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ GAGOS - GUARDA “.

The arms were officially granted on December 2, 1999.
