Origin/meaning

The blue circle with a red maple leaf on a white background recalls the Air Force roundel. The osprey in flight symbolizes reaching for new heights. The location at Greenwood, Nova Scotia, is also represented through the use of this provincial bird. The Motto translates as "Excellence through teamwork".

The badge was approved by the Canadian Heraldic Authority on October 1, 2001.
