On a shield Azure, bordered Argent, three horizontal bars Argent, placed fess-wise equidistantly one above the other, the bar in chief which is approximately twice as wide as any one of the other two bars, being charged with an Azure label with three points, from which are suspended three roundles Gules. The bars are of such lengths as to leave an even fringe Azure within the said outer border Argent.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1935.

The arms are those of the founder of the school, Sir George Grey, when he was Governor of the Cape Colony.
