Official blazon

White; on a cross couped red a sword fesswise to dexter white pommel and hilt gold surmounted by a trident palewise also gold.

Origin/meaning

The Dockyard's location in the Boroughs of Gillingham and Chatham is symbolised by the White Field with Red Cross and repectively by the Sword and Trident. The badge was approved in 1953.
