HMS BEE, ROYAL NAVY

English Blue; a beehive surrounded by four bees all gold.

Motto: Ex industria honor.

Origin/meaning

Designed for a Far East River Gunboat on the Yangtze River in China. 1942-1945 the Name was used by the Coatal Forces Base at Weymouth and later at Holyhead. The badge is Canting and was approved in 1924. The Latin Motto translates as "By industry, honour".
