HMS CALLIOPE, ROYAL NAVY
History: A Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Drillship on the Tyne from 1907. The Division moved ashore in 1967 and was acommissioned as Royal Naval reserve in 1968.

Origin/meaning
The Chief of the Nine Muses, Muse of Heroic Poetry and Mother of Orpheus. The badge was approved in 1923.
