HMS CAMBRIDGE, ROYAL NAVY

History: A Gunnery Range at Wembury, Devon from 1940. Comissioned in 19956 and closed for live firing in 2001.

Official blazon
English Per fess white and green; in chief the cornonte of a Royal Duke proper in base a cannon barrel traversed in fess gold.

Motto: Practice makes perfect

Origin/meaning

Named for the first Duke of Cambridge (19774-1850), indicated by the Coronet of a Royal Duke. The Gun Barrel symbolise the Gunnery Range. The badge was approved in 1956.
