English 1952: Green; per fess wavy two white and one blue a grid iron gold.
1956: Barry wavy of ten white and blue; a Snowy egret in his vigilance proper holding in his dexter claw a brick gold.

Motto: Veritas de profundis.

Origin/meaning

The First Badge symbolises that Captain Vidal surveyed St Lawrence River in Canada. The badges was approved in 1952 and in 1956. The Motto translates as "Truth from the depths".
