Amt (until 2007) : Vestsjælland (until 1970 Sorø)
Incorporated into : 2007 Næstved

Arms (crest) of Herlufsholm

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially registered in 1961. Unfortunately I have no information on the colours !

The arms show a troll, holding his haed, and three shells. The troll is taken from the canting arms of Herluf Trolle, the shells are taken from the arms of Brigitte Gyes. They founded together the, still existing, boarding school in Herlufsholm in 1565.
