County: Rzeszów

Arms of Hyżne

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on October 28, 2005.

The cross refers to the arms of Rzeszów and the former Rzeszów province, in which the municipality is situated. It also refers to the church of All Saints in Hyżne.

The hill and the broken Ottoman standard refer to the Tatar Hill nad the attempt by the Tatars to steal the shrine of St. Mary from the church.
