JADE
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Wesermarsch
Additions : 1933-1945 and since 1974 Schweiburg
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 18, 1949 and again on August 14, 1975.
The village is named after the river Jade flowing through this community. The Jade is a very good fishing river, which explains the blue background of the shield and the fisht. The golden gate is a "Sieltor" means a sluice-gate, used to expel surplus water from the region towards the sea.
