Arms: Argent, a representation of the schooner "Maria" in full sail proper; on a chief azure a mullet between two African manilla coins argent.
Crest: On a wreath of the colours, A dexter hand in a steel gauntlet grasping an African manilla coin proper.
Supporters: On the dexter side an African lion and on the sinister side a cormorant, both proper.
Motto: Quaerere verum
The arms were officially granted on June 1, 1960.
