Origin/meaning
The arms show the cross and pales from the diocesan arms impaled with the personal arms of the bishop. The upper half of the personal; arms shows the arms of the town of Perg where he was born. The lower half refers his parents, a flowing river (fliessen=to flow) and flax plants (for making oil, his mother's family owned a flax-oil press).
