Van sinopel met een adelaar van goud gebket en gepoot van keel - het schild getopt met een kroon met elf parels en gehouden door twee wildemannen in vleeskleur omgord en gekroond met bladeren van sinopel, steunend op een knots in natuurlijke kleur.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 4, 1955.

Kanegem had no historical seals, so the municipality applied for the arms of the De Preudhomme d'Ailly, Counts of Nieuwpoort and Lords of Poeke. The family were the last owners of the Kanegem Castle.
