Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 23, 1973.
The Romanesque arcade is based on the west gallery of the Zum Heiligen Kreuz monastery church in Kaufungen. The color green refers to the location in the middle of the Kaufunger Forest, the color blue to the location on the Losse as well as to the blue sky over the place and Kaufunger Forest.
