Region : Kurzeme
Municipality : Dundaga

Kolka.jpg

Official blazon

Zilā laukā zelta smaile, tai uzlikts vairodziņš: zaļš, sudrabs, zils valsts karoga krāsu samēros.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 2000.

The blue field and golden chevron symbolise the Kolkasrags (Kolka Cape) of the Baltic coast. The small shield in the centre is in the colours of the flag of the Livonian people. Kolka parish is one of constituent parts of cultural-historic state protected area Livod Randa (Livonian coast), which is the place of habitation of the main part of the remaining Livonians in Latvia.
