Arms: Gules, a circular castle of three tiers Or; a bordure azute charged with eight domed towers of the second.
Crest: Issuant from a ducal coronet Or, a lion's head gules between two ostrich feathers argent. Mantled gules, doubled argent.
Motto: Royale et loyale.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 24, 1572 (to the Borough of Dunheved, later renamed to Launceston).
