The Group is involved in training as indicated by the torch in radar and signalling as symbolised by the Lightning. The Astral Crown symbolises success in everything connected with Aviation. The Motto translates as ”Too know, to advice, to follow”. The Badge was approved in August 1947.
The Pawn inidcates that every job, however humble, is vital to the RAF. The success achieved by the realisation is represented by the crown. The Motto translates as ”Each to his own affair”. The Badge was approved in December 1948.
