History: Formed at Berka in October 1943.
Official blazon
An eagle volant Or carrying in the claws a lifebelt argent detailed sable.
Motto: Vita ex undis abrepta = Life snatched from the waves.
Origin/meaning
The badge symbolises the Air-Sea Rescue Role. It was granted in December 1944.
