NO 744 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1943 at Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada as a Telegraphist Air Gunner School. In 1946 the Squadron bemoce an anti Submarine Warefare Squadron at Royal Navla Air Station Eglinton (HMS Sea Eagle), Northern Ireland. the Squadron was disbanded in 1956.

English Barry wavy of ten white and blue; a sun in splendour gold charged with an eagle's head affronty proper.

Motto: Nemo solus satis sapit

Origin/meaning

The Latin Motto which translates as "No man on his own knows enough" refers to the period 1951-1954 when the Squadron's task was Trials and Development. The badge was approved in 1946.
